When a patient needs blood, families are often asked to find donors themselves. They post in Facebook groups, call relatives and friends, and wait for someone with the right blood type to answer, while time runs out.
BloodLink makes that search faster. Voluntary donors sign up once with their blood type and town. When someone nearby needs their type, a hospital or the patient's family can find them in seconds and send a request. The donor decides whether to help.
BloodLink was started by Ray Kenneth Cerbolles in Bangar, La Union, Philippines. It is free for donors and for patients and their families. Hospitals get 100 free searches and can then subscribe to a hospital plan, and local businesses can sponsor BloodLink in their town. That is how it pays for itself.

BloodLink is not a blood bank. We do not collect, test, store or transport blood. Donating always happens at a hospital or licensed blood bank, never directly between people. In an emergency, always call your local emergency number first (911 in the Philippines).
